Kathy Troupe Smith was raised and lives in Grand Haven, Michigan. She attended Hope College and received her Physical Therapy degree from the University Of Michigan. In recent years, Kathy began experimenting with oil pastels, finding that she loves the vibrant colors this medium affords. Once an aspiring ballerina, the dancer's line, along with her study of the human body influence many of her creations. Each piece represents some nugget of her life story, which continues to change and grow with each day - a seemingly unending supply of inspiration! She lovingly shares her life with her husband, three beautiful daughters, and goofy dogs Pearl and Ruby.
